Monday Night Mind-Body Revolution

At hip studio, we are all about health! We are committed to living the hip life and to being our best selves! It is our purpose to provide the support and accountability you need to be your best self! We know that our mental, emotional and spiritual health is just as important as our physical health. We believe in holistic and integrative living and in growing our community of passionately healthy hipsters!

Monday, May 2nd (and the first Monday of every month) from 7:30-9pm we will gather at hip studio to share our stories and collectively raise the awareness of holistic health, nutrition, mindful eating, meditation, motivation, movement, connection, creativity, purpose and balance. We will quiet our minds, connect with ourselves and others, and get a little inspiration to take back into our busy lives. We will provide one another with support, community and accountability to achieve optimum health.

This month we are thrilled to collaborate with Amber Caudle, the owner of our most favorite healthy local spot,

The Source Cafe

Born in Ohio and raised in Atlanta, Amber’s passion for the restaurant business was ignited when she was fifteen and had her first restaurant job. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Hotel Restaurant Management. Although she had management opportunities in Atlanta after graduating, her true passion took over and she began her culinary training in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was there that she learned and fell in love with the simplicity and passion of Southern Italian cuisine, which led her to Sorrento, Italy to cook and study. Her appreciation for food, travel and wine led her to San Sebastian, Spain, where she was enchanted once again, this time by Basque food and culture. Amber is also a first level sommelier.

Chef Amber believes food can be healthy and delicious at the same time. Amber opened The Source Café 3 ½ years ago because she was on a journey towards better physical health and spiritual growth. This became the driving force in her life. At the time she was the Executive Chef at a traditional, yet somewhat unconventional, Mediterranean restaurant. In dealing with some personal health issues, she developed an anti-inflammatory, immune -boosting tonic and began sharing it with coworkers. She couldn’t make enough to keep up with the demand! That experience ignited the fire even though she knew for quite a long time that food was instrumental in healing and maintaining a healthy body, mind and spirit. The vision and mission of The Source sprang from that realization along with the commitment to share with others.

Chef Amber is currently working on a cookbook that will showcase her unique recipes and dishes that are healthy, tasty and imaginative. Equally important to Amber in writing the cookbook is the story behind and within the pages. She has read other people’s stories that have inspired her-given her the encouragement to grow-to take new, bold steps. Everyone has a story to tell. Chef Amber believes in a deeper sense that there is a universal realization that sharing your story with others begins a dialogue that brings all of us together in a caring, supportive community.

This is a donation based event. Each month we will donate to a charity of our choice.
